"Madrasah Khiva" Hotel

Madrasah Khiva is situated in Khiva’s inner town, the Ichan-Kala fortress. Hotel occupies the former Muhammed Amin Han Madrasah, built in the mid-19th century (1851-1852). It was the largest madrasah in town that up until the 20th century housed more than 250 students. At present, former student cells are used to accommodate tourists. Spirit of the past can be felt in every corner of the hotel and connoisseurs and amateurs of ancient history and architecture will justly appreciate hotel’s merits and Madrasah’s unique architecture that lets guests enjoy coolness during hot weather without air conditioning. Hotel offers modest Single and Double rooms with bathroom/shower, telephone, satellite TV. A restaurant is also available.
