Day 1 Bishkek
Arrival to Bishkek. Meeting at the Manas airport. Sightseeing of Bishkek with visits to the main square Ala-Too, State Historical Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, Oak Park, TSUM and Osh Bazaar.
O/n at hotel.
Day 2 Bishkek – Issyk-Kul
- Transfer to Issyk-Kul Lake. On the way visit Navekat and Suyab town ruins of Ak-Beshim, remains of Buddhism temples from V-VIII c. Excursion to Burana Tower and Balbals - historical complex (XI c). Passing by historical underwater places:
- Ruins near Toru-Aigyr village – relics of mediaeval bathhouse (XIV c)
- Chon-Koy-Suu – Timur’s Palace on island (XIV-XV c.)
Visit to the open air ancient rock painting museum of petroglyphs (stone inscriptions). Boat tour excursion on Issyk-Kul Lake. O/n at hotel.
Day 3 Issyk-Kul - Karakol
After breakfast transfer to Karakol. Passing by historical places such as:
- Kurmenty Sax barrows (V-III c.b.c)
- Underwater Chigu town – Sax-Usun headquarter (II c.b.c)
- Chilpeck cultic complex (IV c)
Excursion to Przevalskiy museum-memorial, Russian Orthodox Church and Muslim mosque. Excursion in Djety-Oguz gorge. Light walking. Flowers valley. Arrival to Karakol.
O/n at guest house.
Day 4 Karakol - Bishkek
Return to Bishkek along the southern shore of the Issyk-Kul lake. On the way visit:
- Underwater towns Darkhan, Tuura-Tash,
- Site of ancient settlement Koy-Sary (VIII-XII c)
- Barrows of Djele-Debe village (V-III c.b.c)
- Barskhan town – caravansary (VII-XII c) - birthplace of Makhmud Barskhani/Kashgari, the great scientist of the Middle Ages
- Tamga-Tash is an ancient rock carved with Tibetan Buddhist inscriptions (VII-IX c). This 1500-year-old mantra expresses the desire for all to reach enlightenment: “Om Mani Padme Hum” (“Behold! The jewel in the lotus!”).
- Ton town – ruins of Khan-Dube (X c).
Arrival to Bishkek. Excursion over Bishkek (local handicraft vendors). Dinner at a local restaurant with traditional folklore performance. O/n at hotel.
Day 5 Bishkek
Transfer to the Airport for departure.
